This project will strengthen local leadership in culture and the creative industries, deepen workforce diversity, and enhance artist development and creative skills which will, in turn, stimulate growth in the economy. This will be delivered through a mix of public and private sector training and support.

Festivals and events need support with key skills, such as fundraising and sponsorship; production; technology; commissioning; commercial development; and artistic programming. The funding will provide support to train volunteers to work across the whole of the city’s festival and cultural event programme, which will enable all sizes and scales of cultural organisations to increase their impact and expertise.
