We’re thrilled to announce that touring artists Good Weather For an Airstrike (GWFFA) and Minus Pilots have added a Worcester date to their tour! Expect huge cinematic soundscapes, thumping post-rock crescendos, and ambient immersion.
Since being founded by Winchester-based Tom Honey to help alleviate the issues he faced while suffering from tinnitus, GWFAA’s ambient music has been streamed over 40 million times on Spotify as well as receiving airtime on BBC Introducing, Channel 4, KEXP and ABC Radio National.
GWFAA’s work draws on all of his musical influences and presents itself as a rich tapestry of lulling drones that hints at a diluted form of post-rock.
Supported by tour partners Minus Pilots and local experimental music project Moss Grotto, they are set to bring an atmospheric show to Arch 27 on 7 June – right next door to SLAP magazine HQ! This show is perfect for fans of artists like Boards of Canada, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Tim Hecker, MONO, and more.
Tickets on sale now via the link below. £5 tickets still available!
ABOUT THE ACTS:
Good Weather for an Airstrike; Post-rock structures combined with electronica-inspired soundscapes and field recordings to produce an immersive listening experience.
Minus Pilots; Cinematic experiments, minimalist atmospheres, melodic fragments and soaring crescendos that rise from silence into overwhelming sonic climaxes.
Moss Grotto; Experimental musicians based in Worcester. Ambient, drone, post-rock, and noise. Guitar-led sound with crackling electronics and shambling tape loops.
This is a great opportunity to support grassroots music at a time where live music is sadly harder to access than ever before. It’s a perfect chance to spend a summer evening checking out the recent developments along the arches between Foregate Street and Pitchcroft!
