Artists Clubhouse and Worcester Film Festival are running two free mixed media, poster making workshops as part of their Lights, Camera…Paint art trail. The workshops will be bookable via www.artistsclubhouse.com for either 13th or 20th August thanks to funding from the Worcester City Council Community fund, Bluebox Software Ltd and Worcester Councillor Mel Allcott.
Artists Clubhouse and Worcester Film Festival return with their popular film-inspired art trail, “Lights, Camera…Paint,” now in its fourth year. The trail will take place from the August bank holiday throughout September in Worcester’s city centre. The trail will showcase art created by local individuals who all submitted entries as part of a competition, the winners of which will be announced at the Worcester Film Festival Launch event! Another five artworks have been created by local charities groups and organisations.
As part of Light’s Camera…Paint this year Artists Clubhouse and Worcester Film Festival are excited to announce some free poster making art workshops in the run up to the trail and Festival. These workshops aim to encourage people to use their creativity to support wellbeing which is what Artists Clubhouse is all about!
The workshops will focus of ‘making a movie poster of your life’; experimenting with collage and mixed media to build up layers, we will look at genre, theme, playing with layouts, colours and text to create a fun and original piece of art!
