AN OPEN CALL EXHIBITION – Fundraiser for Gaza

“Art as a Protest: A YELL FOR THE SILENCED”
Hosted by The Artery Studios in collaboration with the Worcester Palestinian Solidarity Group.

We invite artists or any level, expertise or age to contribute to our fundraiser for Palestine. All proceeds from sale of the art will go to Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP)

Join us in using art as a powerful form of activism to amplify voices ignored. This is a way to turn our collective feelings of helplessness to helpfulness in the form of gentle activism, fundraising and education.

The exhibition will be held at The Artery Studios on Friday 6th, Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th December with a post protest event on Saturday 7th featuring talks, film, poetry and performance from 3pm.

WAYS TO CONTRIBUTE

1. Donate Existing Artwork:
If you have existing artwork that you have already made and are willing to donate, we welcome your generous contributions. This is a fundraising exhibition and your work does not need to reflect subject matter.

2. Create New Artwork:
We encourage artists to create pieces that reflect your feelings on the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Let your creativity speak out against injustice.

3. Postcard Gallery:
Design and submit postcards that will be featured in our postcard gallery. This is a great opportunity to create impactful, accessible art.

4. Perform at our event on Saturday 7th.

Artwork Drop Off
All work to be dropped to the Artery Studio CIC on Wednesday 4th December 2024 between 10am – 6pm

Exhibition Dates
Friday 6th, Saturday 7th, Sunday 8th December

Launch Event
December 6th

Saturday December 7th:
Placard making workshop at The Artery (time tbc)

Protest at 2pm In Worcester City Centre.

Join us back at the Artery after the protest at 3pm for talks, film, poetry and performance.
